The South Carolina Farm Bureau Foundation Provides Scholarships The purpose of the South Carolina Farm Bureau Foundation is to provide educational funds for scholarships to persons pursuing a higher education degree in agriculture or agricultural related majors. The scholarships are for residents of South Carolina and will be awarded to a college sophomore, junior, or senior. Application for these scholarships must be made to the South Carolina Farm Bureau Foundation, Post Office Box 754, Columbia, South Carolina 29202-0754, no later than April 30th prior to the beginning of the first semester of the following academic year. If you are a South Carolina resident and would like to receive an application, click here and request that one will be mailed or emailed to you. These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of character, demonstrated leadership abilities, and dedication to agriculture or related fields. The recipients will be selected by the Scholarship Committee of the South Carolina Farm Bureau Foundation in accordance with guidelines developed by the Foundation's Board of Directors and approved by the Foundation's membership. Amount of Each Scholarship: The Foundation's Board of Directors have indicated that funds available for 2008-09 will include two $1000 scholarships. They will be designated as:
Donations to the SC Farm Bureau Foundation Individuals or groups are encouraged to
participate in funding the SC Farm Bureau Foundation by making tax-deductible
