Christie and Jay Crouch Receive
Farm Bureau Excellence Award

Christie and Jay Crouch of Saluda County (center and right) receive an award for being named the winners of the 2005 SC Farm Bureau Excellence in Agriculture Award.

Phil Love (left), Executive Vice President of SCFB Insurance Companies, presented the award during the SC Farm Bureau Federation’s 62nd Annual Meeting held recently in Myrtle Beach.

As state winners, they received $500 cash compliments of Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company; another $500 cash compliments of the Dodge Division of DaimlerChrysler Motors; and an expense paid trip to Nashville, TN, in January 2006 to compete in the American Farm Bureau Excellence in Agriculture Contest.

The Excellence in Agriculture Award recognizes young farmers and ranchers who do not derive the majority of their income from an owned agricultural operation, but who actively contribute to agriculture and Farm Bureau.

South Carolina Farm Bureau is a membership organization that works to promote agriculture and rural lifestyles throughout the state.
