Lee County Residents Appointed to State Farm Bureau Committee
COLUMBIA, SC – Lee
County residents Zan and Mary Adele Tomlinson
were recently appointed to the South Carolina Farm Bureau
(SCFB) Young Farmer and Rancher Committee by SCFB President
David Winkles.
Winkles said, “We are fortunate to have young
leaders like Zan and Mary Adele represent their area’s young
farmers on our state committee. We look forward to their
development as long-serving leaders of the Farm Bureau
family.”
The Tomlinsons operate a diverse farm in the
Lynchburg area of Lee
County. The farming operation consists of row
crops, turkey grow-out houses and a small cow/calf operation.
In addition, Zan serves on the Lee County Farm Bureau Board of
Directors.
While serving on the SC Farm Bureau Young
Farmer and Rancher Committee, the Tomlinsons will have the
opportunity to participate in leadership development programs,
share concerns of South Carolina farmers with policy makers in
Washington, D.C. and at the Statehouse. They will also
represent South Carolina at the 2006 American Farm Bureau
Young Farmer and Rancher Conference in
Des Moines,
Iowa.
