South Carolina Farm Bureau Federation:
All About Agriculture

Why Buy Local?

  • Premium Taste. Maximum Freshness. Produce picked and eaten at the height of ripeness has exceptional flavor.
  • By choosing local produce from our  SCFB Roadside Markets and pick-your-own farms, you pay for taste, not transportation.
  • Getting to know the local farmers who grow your food builds relationships based on understanding and trust.
  • Your locally spent dollars strengthens the local economy, helps local farmers stay in business, and allows them to maintain the rural landscape for future generations.

2007 Drought Raised Need for
Alternative Feed

In response to this  hardship, we have published a listing of where hay or forage may be available. Click
